I can understand your point about the second hand market, it is a good one, but they will never be able to stop with the vicious DRM if that is their goal and it seems like they are biting off their nose to spite their face. Then again, they might see GameStop profits and decide they want to make money on all those 'used' sales (by forcing them to be 'new' sales) rather than have their old only-the-new market. The problem is, in doing so, they destroy not only the used market but the new market as well and make the pirates look like game-producing geniuses (releasing early and in the preferred formats and releasing a preferable product, etc).
